AQL presently provides our customer’s business-to-business distribution services and import deconsolidation shipping primarily retail goods throughout the United States and abroad. AQL has been successfully serving customer’s for over 4 years improving inventory accuracy, on time delivery and order fulfillment percentages to exceptional service levels.

AQL is a designated Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) that can be activated for OUR CUSTOMER’S use. Foreign Trade Zones provide many benefits to an importer, none more important than a substantial reduction in importation fees. Every US Customs entry has an associated Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) that averages $150 per entry. When an importer activates FTZ status within AQL’s facility only one WEEKLY MPF filing for all activities is required resulting in approximate annual cost of $10,000. If AQL customer’s annually records 1,000 MPF entries, the net savings will be approximately $140,000 (1,000 entries times $150 = $150,000 less 52 weeks @$150 per MPF under FTZ status). AQL remains committed toward providing comprehensive services for its’ customers, FTZ being one of many advantages provided.

All AQL servers have been virtualized using VM Ware and all data is stored in a storage area network (SAN) that is synchronized "real time" with a third party data center located in Las Vegas, Nevada. AQL physical servers are secured and monitored 24/7/365 for operations and temperature via video surveillance reducing the likelihood of service failure. A complete disaster recovery plan is in place and AQL has a dedicated service contract with Zumasys for all data related security and recovery.
AQL Supplied Systems and Integration to customer’s business host overview includes modern business interface integration tools and warehouse management systems focused in serving 3PL retail distribution shipping. Systems integration provided by AQL includes a wide variety of data integration methods including: flat file exchange and AS2 "X-12" EDI file exchange. Utilizing Boomi (third party system integration software), all data file exchanges are tightly controlled using it’s own database and logging system ensuring all file exchanges are accounted for and/or easily recreated. Additionally, data can be exchanged directly through an AS2 connecting incorporation a functional acknowledgement (997 EDI document) or through file transfer protocol (FTP) in a secure, dedicated server
Currently AQL exchanges data with customer’s business host through the FTP using flat files formatted to meet most unique requirements. AQL believes an opportunity exists in improving the data exchange controls by changing to a X-12 EDI format using the AS2 connections available through Boomi.
